Yumi, an extremely violent and stubborn priestess, is desperately trying to find Ina, the leader of kitsune; magical foxes with the ability to change into any form they desire. But with only the kitsune capable of entering the spirit realm in which Ina resides, Yumi must somehow convince one to lead her there. And as their sworn enemy, that’s not going to be easy...
Heh, kind of went on a unannounced hiatus there. But good news; the hiatus is almost over! Spring break is almost here, and I'll finally have time to draw again. Next page of Hotarugari is coming 3/28! I'm also working on a little something to celebrate Hotarugari having 2500+ fans, but that'll come later. XD

So you heard the bad news, right? To top off everything that's been happening these past couple months, my tablet broke. Right now, I can't afford to buy a new one, and without one, I can't draw Hotarugari. T^T I've been borrowing my sister's tablet as much as I can these past two weeks, but she needs it for her art classes, so progress for Hotarugari is slow. I'm working on getting another tablet right now, but until then, just hang tight, guys! Updates will resume next week and I'll try my best to keep updating from there.
The 27th of December marks Hotarugari's 2nd Smack Jeeves Anniversary, so I'll definitely have something special for you guys by then!

Just got back today from my four-week vacation in Japan! Whoo! And although I'm super tired right now from the trip, I couldn't wait to give you guys the shout out that updates for Hotarugari will resume next week! Yeah, yeah, yeah!! >v<

So the Hotarugari site turned into a muddle of "Your image will be back soon!" image boxes this morning while photobucket.com is under maintenance, so I've had to return it to the default SJ template temporarily until I can find a better image hosting site. Anybody have any suggestions for a better image host? I'd be very grateful! :D
Also, small delay on the next page of Hotarugari. (Although you probably already expected that! XD) Sorry! I really hate to do this at such an exciting part of the story, but I have two aunt's, my sister's, and my grandmother's birthdays to celebrate this week as well as a convention this Saturday to prepare for. Life drags me down sometimes, but I'll do my best to get the next page up soon!

Happy New Year, everyone! With a new year comes a new chapter of Hotarugari! And I gotta say, this next one is a doozy. But hey, it's time we learned more about Yumi and her objectives, right? After that cliffhanger on Chapter 2, I'm sure you guys all want answers. >:)

So pre-orders for Hotaru t-shirts officially closed last Friday! And thanks to all you guys who pre-ordered, we've reached our goal of 15~!!! Wahoo!!! \(^O^)/
I'e already placed the order at a t-shirt printing company, so our Hotaru t-shirts should be arriving in just a few days! (Man, I can't wait to wear mine! >w<) From there, I'll be personally packaging them and sending them out to you guys the next day along with your free Hotarugari buttons!! And a Hotaru sketch will be given to those lucky few who got their pre-orders first! <3 All those who have pre-ordered will be getting an e-mail from me the moment your Hotaru shirt has been sent.
But don't forget! Hotaru t-shirts will still be available for purchase! However, stock is extremely limited and sizing is now from S to XL only.
Thanks for supporting this comic, everyone! Seriously, you guys are the best! I'll be spending the rest of today working on the next page of Hotarugari just for you, so look forward to the next update! ^v^

Also, heads up for my new 4-panel comic exquisitely titled, My Life Is A Joke! Updates will be a bit sporadic and it's more of a sketch comic intended for my own personal entertainment, but you're all welcome to check it out! There's not much up there now, but I'll try to have some more jokes up this week.

I really didn't think anyone would actually comment on my scribbles, and even if anyone did, I'm so busy replying to all the comments I get on Hotarugari, (both on SJ and DA) that I wouldn't have time to reply to those too, so I thought it best just to remove the comment button altogether. Cherri - I'm so happy too! I just can't wait until the shirts arrive! And thank you!! It's just a little sketchy comic, but I'm glad you like it! The main character is a tomboy named Alice, and yeah, haha, getting to college feels like such an achievement until you realize it's just like school but harder. >w>;

Wow, almost two weeks have gone by and not a peep outta me. Sorry guys! Lots of stuff has been keeping me busy. (I went to visit my grandmother who lives 6 hours away, went on a road trip, picked up new furniture for my parents, cleaned the house, etc, etc.) But things are back to normal now, so expect the next page of Hotarugari on Thursday for sure. Stay cool 'til then! ;D

Not sure if you guys will see this, but I want to let you all know that for the next three days I'm not going to be here. (I'll be at my grandma's house.) It all kind of happened rather suddenly, (as in it was decided an hour ago. XD) so the next page of Hotarugari will most likely be late. So sorry to all of those I still need to write back to! I'll be back on Tuesday, so please wait for my reply until then. <:3 HUGE thank you to all of those who have preordered Hotaru T-shirts so far, (we're almost to 15!!) and super thanks to you guys for being a fan of this comic!
